Went on a Friday in August and my companion and I were the only people on the trail. Great day for this hike, lots of snow up top but we trekked through for the view. There are some interesting sounding birds that I don't normally here, I don't know what they were though, and lots of little frogs. Wear bug spray! Photographer. The first part of the trail we followed snowmobile tracks until we started the accent to the ridge where our snow shoes were really required and the trail was untraveled, the views are spectacular, overall a great hike.
was super quiet, peaceful, and really pretty. there is a little bit of single track towards the water end of the trail, but not to much. Frank Slide is a place to hike at the site where Turtle Mountain collapsed and destroyed much of the Town of Frank. Clearly marked and wide enough for multiple people in most places. I was unable to find the Tupperware to sign at the top but made for an amazing day.

The trail is well blazed so there is no difficulty staying on it. The hike should take approximately 45 mins to complete. good length, easy but varied terrain change. this trail is not very technical for a trail. Had a great time there.
There is also an overlook/rest bench at the end where you can see over the water, but there are a lot of trees in the way, so not the greatest view. There are a few areas that will be muddy after recent rain.

Very nice hike plan on doing this one again. Most of the trail is a well maintained fire road that I could drive my jeep down.

Very quite 10 car max so plenty of social distancing!!! We had 2 kids aged 7 and 10. The trail is primarily used for hiking and nature trips. Powerline trail all the way up. Beware of rock fall, loose rock, and exposure. PLEASE NOTE: This trail is only open Thursday thru Sunday. This loop hike climbs to the North Peak of Crows Nest Mountain, with many spectacular viewpoints over the Hudson River and the Highlands.
